Women are main instruments to bring about development in the Communities. PARIVARTAN as part of its long-term impact started working with Women for Social and Economic Development.  In 2005 PARIVARTAN initiated intervention for development and empowerment of women by encouraging and supporting formation of Self Help Groups (SHG) of women for small
 

savings, micro credits, income generation and other self-development activities. Currently there are more than 30 SHGs with about 500 women as the members functioning under the guidance of the Organisation. The Organisation envisions not only economic development through small savings and micro credits but also personal and social development through other activities like adult literacy, health awareness

and camps, income generation and like. These groups are also used as platform to motivate mothers about importance education.
