Finally Shabana will go to school
Shabana, 9-year-old girl from Barrackpore Ward No. 18 studying in Urdu medium Bridge course is very excited about going to school. “Finally I will go to school now!!!” She exclaims. Shabana has done very well in all the evaluations at the centre and is also very good in other co-curricular activities.
Going to school was up till now only a distant dream for her. Father Noor Md. left them and lives in Kolkata with the other wife. Shabana’s mother works as a domestic worker to make the two ends meet. In these difficult circumstances, education and school assumed a very low priority.
Free education in PARIVARTAN’s Bridge Course came as a boon to Shabana. This gave her the opportunity not only prove her talents but also an opportunity to enter the mainstream school in class 3 to continue her education.
