Child Labourer turns into school-goer
Chand Md. has become a school student like other children. He is
on the way to become somebody big with a good earning. One will
find him at Vegetable Market (Girja Bazaar) in Titagarh, selling
vegetables with his mother everyday. But during the School hour
he is in the Classroom. He just can not waste his time, as his
sole dream is to earn a lot of money after completing his
studies. A few years ago like many others he was found by his
Bazi (sister in Urdu), Shakila Bano, the community girl from
Bazm-E-ehbab, a local club. Chand had never been to school
before and was admitted in the bridge course run by the
PARIVARTAN. He proved to be a brilliant student and was enrolled
in Std. IV in AGM School. He continues his studies in Secondary
School now. My dream is to become someone big one day, he says.
